MOVEMENT METHODS

PILATES

The Pilates method creates length and strength (not bulk). The spring/pully system on the Reformer / Tower deepen and amplify the way your natural muscle works. This expedites results compared to traditional gym workouts.  The equipment is completely adjustable to fit virtually any body type. Regardless of weight, height, or physical limitations.

Joseph Pilates said "physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness."  A body freed of nervous tension and over-fatigue is ideal for a well-balanced mind that is ALWAYS ready and adaptable to solve complex problems of today. In your Pilates workout, we challenge the body to move in all directions to create balance of strength and flexibility, mobility and stability, effort and efficiency.

GARUDA

With Garuda, your whole core is strengthened and nourished from within. The movements heal and rejuvenate, working intensely within the fascial lines of the body.  This comprehensive movement system created by James D'silva uses the breath as the principal guiding force which works to fire up the body with warmth and energy and calms down the nervous system. The routines are flowing and rhythmic, starting simply and blossoming into more complex patterns. Twists, curls and spirals encourage greater flexibility in the spine, giving free rein to the body to rediscover its natural desire to move, and providing a complete, joyful and mindful workout.

POWER PLATE

PowerPlate is Acceleration based Training using Whole Body Vibration Technology.  It is designed to stimulate fast twitch muscle fibers by applying an internal force vs an external force (i.e. lifting weights).  Acceleration Training equips the body to work harder, faster, recover better, and build strong muscles without building bulky muscles.  Studies have shown that people whom exercised on the PowerPlate lost 57% more weight than those that performed the same exercises without Acceleration.   Our trained instructors guide you through a full-body workout.
